About The Book

Sometimes discovering the truth can leave you more hopeless than believing the lies…

That’s what seventeen-year-old Sky realizes after she meets Dean Holder. A guy with a reputation that rivals her own and an uncanny ability to invoke feelings in her she’s never had before. He terrifies her and captivates her all in the span of just one encounter, and something about the way he makes her feel sparks buried memories from a past that she wishes could just stay buried.

Sky struggles to keep him at a distance knowing he’s nothing but trouble, but Holder insists on learning everything about her. After finally caving to his unwavering pursuit, Sky soon finds that Holder isn’t at all who he’s been claiming to be. Book Review

“The sky is always beautiful.Even when it’s dark or rainy or cloudy,it’s still beautiful to look at….it’ll be there no matter what…and I know it’ll always be beautiful.”
― Colleen Hoover, Hopeless

You don’t need a review to read Colleen hoover’s books, just dive in. She is sooooooo good. I don’t struggle to enjoy her  books. I just start reading and I’m gone (into the book).

Hopeless… a really strong title.
It still baffles me, whenever I see this title, how strongly it correlates with the story in this book. CoHo’s books has always been that way for me.

“I need a chapter break.”
― Colleen Hoover, Hopeless

Hopeless is not just about being without hope, it is more. It is about a guy who losed the two most important girls in his life at a tender age and has to cope with living without them and also growing up blaming himself for their loss before finding out what really happened to them.

“I’m not a sucker for happily ever afters, but if these two characters don’t get theirs I might climb inside this e-reader and lock them both inside that damn garage forever.”
― Colleen Hoover, Hopeless

I hate paedophiles (I strongly loathe them, with all of me)  and this book intensifies my hatred for them. I’m sure I’m not alone in this, and paedophiles gets really disgusting when they do it to their children.
Sky, the homeschooled, ‘slut-shamed’ girl that has no access to a phone or internet meets a mysterious hot guy who rarely talks to anyone, gets into trouble and has little or no friend.

“Just because you blocked the memory of me out of your mind doesn’t mean you blocked the memory of me out of your heart”
― Colleen Hoover, Hopeless

And even though they had a rough ‘first encounter’, they get to know themselves during their numerous runs that is soon put to an end.

“It’s what happens when two people become one: they no longer only share love. They also share all of the pain, heartache, sorrow, and grief.”
― Colleen Hoover, Hopeless

This book will play with your mind, it will also run smoothly while laying it at the back of your mind that there is more to the story, there is more to what you see and I bet you that you are going to be in for a lot of surprises in this book.

“I’m the only one that can be held accountable for the way my life turns out.”
― Colleen Hoover, Hopeless

There are also times you will be embarrassed for the main character and her lack of class, these and many more makes up the thrills of this book.
Hopeless has my undaunting ⭐⭐⭐⭐🌟4.8/5 stars.

Books are my dearest companion in my alone days. And they will always be.
